THE FIRST

Born in 2008 as 4DOC, the fir­st prac­ti­ce ma­na­ge­ment soft­wa­re in Eu­ro­pe for pla­stic and ae­sthe­tic sur­ge­ry, its e­vo­lu­tion con­ti­nued in 2020 wi­th the laun­ch of XMED+, whi­ch ex­ten­ded its func­tio­na­li­ty to der­ma­to­lo­gy. The next step ca­me in 2025 wi­th the re­lea­se of XMED4, the four­th ver­sion, en­han­ced by A.I.

MEDICAL RECORDS

XMED4 provides everything needed to define a patient's medical profile (medical history, psychological tests, advanced medical analyses, etc.) and a dedicated clinical file for each appointment. This file allows for the unrestricted uploading of physical examinations, diagnoses, photographs, documents, videos, and more.

CHECKLIST & FOLLOWUP

Checklists and follow-ups are support functions for the pre- and post-appointment phases. They are useful for ensuring that no clinical or administrative detail is overlooked (pre) and for automating clinical monitoring and patient retention activities (post).

DOCUMENTS CUSTOMISATION

XMED4 simplifies the management of documents used by the practice (consents, certifications, prescriptions, medical reports, etc.) by generating personalised versions for patients in a few clicks. The system also offers a library of informed consents that are clinically accurate and legally impeccable.

ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE

XMED4 incorporates an Advanced Electronic Signature system for the digital signing of informed consent forms and clinical-administrative documents. Full legal validity is guaranteed through the use of qualified certificates and the recording of biometric data, in full compliance with the eIDAS regulation.

XMED+WHATSAPP

XMED+WhatsApp allows all practice users, even simultaneously, to use WhatsApp directly from XMED4. The integration enables the automated sending of reminders, courtesy and marketing messages, documents, etc., and archives patient chats for legal purposes.

PATHOLOGY DECLARATION

XMED4 automatically generates the certifications that attest to the therapeutic purpose of plastic and aesthetic surgery procedures, which are consequently VAT-exempt, to respect the Law 191/23 and the Italian Revenue Agency's Resolution No. 42 of 12/06/2025.

DEDICATED ICD-9-CM

XMED4 provides a list of codes specifically tailored for plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, based on the international ICD diseases classification system also used by the Italian National Health Service for issuing certifications of therapeutic purpose and for billing.

INVOICING

Creating an invoice with XMED4 is an intuitive and rapid operation. The system generates invoices in XML format, ready for import into any general accounting software. The invoices submission to the required national systems is completely automated.

SEARCHES AND STATISTICS

XMED4 is equipped with evolving summary, search, and analysis tools that enable the selection of specific patient groups based on customisable criteria and the generation of statistical reports to monitor the practice's performance and growth.

PATIENTS ACCESS

XMED4 allows the medical practice to provide patients with access to a secure, personal are where they can can update their personal details and medical history questionnaire, view their appointment schedule, and access all documents made available by the practice.

XMED4 does not presume to replace specialised marketing platforms. Instead, it features patient database synchronisation functionality with Mailchimp, the world's most widely used newsletter management software, and with GoHighLevel, an innovative and emerging marketing automation platform.

ONLINE BOOKING

Thanks to the partnership with IntelFriends and after months of intensive testing, a specialised AI integrated with XMED4 is now available: a virtual assistant that, with a natural voice, answers the phone 24/7 and, within the limits set by the medical practice, interacts with patients and manages the appointment diary.
